How to Transfer Your Domain to AISweb Print

  • 0

Moving your domain to AISweb puts your domain, hosting and billing in one place. Your website and email keep working during the transfer.

Before You Start

At your current registrar:

  1. Unlock the domain: turn off any registrar lock or transfer lock
  2. Get the transfer code: sometimes called the EPP code, auth code or domain password
  3. Check the contact email: make sure the domain's registrant email is one you can receive email at
A domain can't be transferred within 60 days of being registered or transferred, or if it's very close to expiry with some registrars. Renew it first if it expires in the next week.

Starting the Transfer

  1. Log in to https://secure.aisweb.com.au
  2. Click Domains, then Transfer Domains to Us
  3. Enter the domain name and the transfer code, then click Add to Cart
  4. Complete the order

What Happens Next

  • .com, .net and most other domains: you'll get an email asking you to approve the transfer. Click the link to approve it. The transfer usually completes within 5 days
  • .au domains: these usually transfer within a few hours once the code is accepted

Transferring adds a year to most domains, so you don't lose any time you've already paid for. .au domains get a new 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 year term depending on what you order.

Will My Website or Email Stop Working?

No. The nameservers stay the same during a transfer, so nothing changes until you decide to update them.
