How to Restore Files With JetBackup Print

  • 0

If you've deleted or broken a file, you can bring back an earlier copy with JetBackup.

Restoring Files

  1. Log in to cPanel (see How to Log In to cPanel)
  2. In the JetBackup section, click File Backups
  3. Choose a backup from a date before the problem
  4. To restore everything, click Restore. To restore only some files, click Change Files Selection, tick the files or folders you want, and click Restore Selected
  5. Confirm the restore

You can follow its progress under Queue. Most restores take a few minutes.

Restoring files replaces the current versions with the backup copies. If you've changed anything since the backup that you want to keep, download it first.

Restoring a Whole WordPress Site

A WordPress site is made up of files and a database. To roll the whole site back to an earlier date, restore both:

  1. Restore the site's files as above
  2. Restore its database from the same date (see How to Restore a Database With JetBackup)
