  • 0

As well as our automatic JetBackup copies, Softaculous can make an instant backup of your WordPress site. It's ideal right before an update or big change.

Making a Backup

  1. Log in to cPanel (see How to Log In to cPanel)
  2. Open Softaculous Apps Installer
  3. Click Installations (the box icon at the top)
  4. Click the Backup icon next to your site
  5. Make sure both Backup Directory and Backup Database are ticked
  6. Click Backup Installation

Restoring a Backup

  1. In Softaculous, click Backups (the folder icon at the top)
  2. Find the backup by date
  3. Click the Restore icon
  4. Tick what to restore, usually both files and database, and confirm

Scheduled Backups

In Installations, click the pencil icon next to your site. Under Automated backups, choose how often and how many to keep, then click Save Installation Details.

Softaculous backups are stored in your hosting account and use your disk space. Keep only a few. Delete old ones from the Backups page, or download them to your computer.
