Imunify360 protects your website by blocking attacks and scanning your files for malware. You can see what it has found and run a scan yourself in cPanel.
Opening Imunify360
- Log in to cPanel (see How to Log In to cPanel)
- In the Security section, click Imunify360
Checking for Malware
The Malware Scanner tab shows any files Imunify360 has found that look harmful, and what it did with them:
- Cleaned: the harmful code was removed and the file is safe
- Infected: the file still contains malware and needs attention
- Quarantined or Deleted: the file was moved out of the way
To run a new scan, click Scan (or Start scanning) and wait for it to finish.
If Malware Is Found
- Click Clean up all if it's offered, to let Imunify360 remove the malware automatically
- Change your cPanel, FTP and WordPress admin passwords
- Update WordPress, plugins and themes (see How to Keep WordPress Updated and Secure)
- Delete any plugins or themes you don't use
- Scan again to check it's clean
If your site keeps getting reinfected, or you'd like us to look at it, open a ticket with our Technical Support team. We can also restore a clean copy from before the infection with JetBackup.
Proactive Defense
Imunify360 also blocks suspicious scripts and known attacks before they can do damage. If a genuine part of your website stops working and you suspect Imunify360 blocked it, contact us and we'll check.
