If a particular visitor or bot is causing problems, you can block their IP address from your website.
Blocking an IP Address
- Log in to cPanel (see How to Log In to cPanel)
- In the Security section, click IP Blocker
- Enter the IP address or range, for example:
- A single address:
192.0.2.10 - A range:
192.0.2.1-192.0.2.40 - A whole block:
192.0.2.0/24
- A single address:
- Click Add
Blocked visitors see an "Access forbidden" error.
Unblocking an IP Address
Scroll down to Currently-Blocked IP Addresses and click Delete next to the address.
IP Blocker only stops access to your website. If you're being hit by a lot of bad traffic or a login attack, contact our support team as Imunify360 can block it at the server.
