What Happens If an Invoice Is Overdue? Print

  • 0

We'll always remind you before anything happens to your services. Here's how it works if an invoice isn't paid on time.

Reminders

  • If you have a card saved, we'll try to charge it on the due date
  • If the invoice is still unpaid, we'll send reminder emails after it's due

Suspension

If an invoice stays unpaid, the service may be suspended. While a hosting service is suspended:

  • Your website shows a "suspended" page
  • Email may stop working

Your files, email and databases are kept safe during suspension.

Getting Unsuspended

Pay the overdue invoice. See How to Pay an Invoice. Card payments unsuspend your service automatically, usually within a few minutes. Bank transfers are applied once they reach us.

Domains

Domains aren't suspended. If a domain renewal isn't paid, the domain expires, which stops your website and email working. See How to Renew Your Domain.

Having Trouble Paying?

Contact our accounts team before the due date. We're happy to talk about options.

Don't Need the Service Any More?

Cancel it instead, so you don't get more invoices. See Refund and Cancellation Policy.
