How to Change an Email Account Password Print

You can change the password for any email account on your domain in cPanel. Your email user can also change it in webmail.

In cPanel

1. Log in to cPanel (see How to Log In to cPanel)
2. In the Email section, click Email Accounts
3. Click Manage next to the email account
4. Under Security, enter a new password, or click Generate for a strong one
5. Click Update Email Settings

In Webmail

1. Log in to webmail with the email address and its current password
2. Click Settings, then Password
3. Enter the current password, then the new one twice
4. Click Save

After Changing the Password

Update the password on every device that uses this email account, such as your phone, tablet and computer. Until you do, those devices will keep asking for a password or stop getting new email.
