How to Update Your cPanel Contact Email Print

  • 0

cPanel sends important alerts to your contact email address, such as when your disk space is nearly full or your SSL certificate has a problem. Make sure it's an address you check.

Updating It

  1. Log in to cPanel (see How to Log In to cPanel)
  2. In the Preferences section, click Contact Information
  3. Enter your email address. You can add a second one too
  4. Tick the alerts you want to receive. We recommend leaving them all on
  5. Click Save
Use an email address that isn't on this hosting account, such as a Gmail address. That way you'll still get alerts if something goes wrong with your hosting email.

This is separate from your Client Area email address, which we use for invoices and support. To change that, see How to Update Your Account Details.
